PhD Scholarships in Petroleum Engineering

Edith Cowan University (ECU), located in Perth, Western Australia, has multiple full time PhD scholarships in Petroleum Engineering available to candidates that can demonstrate excellent research capability and fulfil the criteria for PhD admission to the University.

The successful scholarship recipients will receive a living allowance of AUD $28,000 per annum and have their tuition fees waived.

ECU’s School of Engineering is one of the fastest growing engineering schools in Australia, with annual growth of more than 20% in the last few years. The School enjoys some of the best-equipped hardware laboratories in the nation, with regular, multi-million dollar investments into expanding and maintaining its world-class infrastructure. The School is committed to undertaking high quality research typically with a multi-disciplinary approach.

Eligibility guidelines

To be eligible for this scholarship you must:

  • meet the PhD admission requirements at ECU;
  • be able to demonstrate a strong background in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science or Mathematics/Computer Science;
  • be planning to enrol in 2018, as soon as possible; and
  • not be currently enrolled in an ECU PhD program.

  • A curriculum vitae (CV), including a list of published research.
  • Transcripts of your academic records and degrees.
  • Evidence of English-language proficiency (only relevant for applicants whose previous studies were not in English).
