The Biochemical Engineering Laboratory at the Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering is seeking a highly motivated
PhD student to study protein self-assembly in biology and biomaterials
This position is intended for a group in Biochemical Engineering working on the development of proteins exhibiting controlled self-assembly. The project involves the investigation of proteins associated with functional phase separation in biology as well as interactions between proteins and nucleic acids. We will build on this knowledge to create biomaterials and micro-bioreactors for biotechnological applications. The project involves the application of a variety of biophysical assays including novel methods based on microfluidic technology.
You should have a Master’s degree in chemical, biochemical or biomedical engineering or a related subject, excellent academic qualifications, strong self-motivation and excellent English language skills.
