We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic microbiologist as a postdoctoral fellow to join a project in Professor Takashi Gojobori's lab. This project is an industrial collaboration, and the postdoctoral fellow will work mainly on the screening industrially useful enzymes from the microbes in the different environmental conditions, using molecular biology, biotechnology and genomics approaches.
We are looking for an outstanding young scientist who has preferably recently been awarded a PhD degree in microbiology or similar fields. Applicants must have a strong background in microbiology. In addition to the background of molecular biology, familiarity to either one of biochemistry, biotechnology, and genomics is highly considered. Experience in oil/energy industry or research is preferable.
