The Danish Institute for Advanced Study (D-IAS) seeks an outstanding candidate to fill a position at the Assistant Professor level in the field of public policy and/or welfare state research.
The assistant professor will be employed at the Department of Political Science and Public Management and starts on March 1, 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter. The department resides at the University of Southern Denmark's campus in Odense.
The appointment is for four years with the possibility for a subsequent two-year employment as an Associate Professor.
We offer a uniquely ambitious research environment to this particular position, and, for the successful candidate, a position where options for tenure will be discussed during a third-year review. We expect the candidate to actively engage in the development of the research unit as well as contribute positively to D-IAS as a whole.

There is a strong focus on talent development of young researchers who work on game-changing ideas. Eminent academics are appointed as chairs, and in that capacity form the backbone of the D-IAS as they catalyze activities within their field.
