The Vrije Universiteit Brussel has been a leading player in the Flemish Higher Education landscape for 40 years. The University numbers 12.000 students and together with its hospital - UZ Brussel – employs more than 6.000 people. Teaching and research at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel are founded on the principle of unfettered inquiry to benefit the progress of mankind. Organisation of and assistance in teaching tasks at the department Materials and Chemistry (MACH).
The teaching is mainly in the master in engineering and concerns courses in chemistry and polymers. Proficiency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Dutch is an asset
The PhD is situated in one of the key topics of the research group Physical Chemistry and Polymer Science (FYSC). The main research themes are: polymer science, sustainable materials for energy, advanced thermal analysis, non-traditiona cements, 3D printing. Master of science in engineering preferably in the field of chemistry and materials or Master of science in chemistry.
The candidate should be able to teach in English and should master oral and written communication in English.
